How do I lower my cholesterol level?  When the control mechanism for cholesterol production in the liver is not able to reduce your blood cholesterol on its own (either because it is malfunctioning or because it has been overwhelmed by too much dietary cholesterol and saturated fat), you must be extra cautious about the foods you eat.
